In the face of crisis, every moment counts. Whether caused by natural disasters or conflict, our rapid response teams provide urgent aid to help families survive and begin recovery.

Airth, a pioneering air purification technology company, was born out of the pressing need for cleaner air—something that hit close to home for its founders, Ravi Kaushik and Abhimanyu Kumar. Kaushik, an IIT Bombay alumnus with a background in aerosol engineering, drew inspiration from his mother’s struggle with asthma, a common ailment in many households across India. As more families grappled with respiratory conditions, allergies, and asthma, Kaushik and Kumar were determined to find a solution. The result was Airth: a groundbreaking air purifier that supposedly transforms any air conditioning unit into an air purifier, enabling cleaner air for everyone.

According to the founders, Airth’s success on Shark Tank India was a key moment for the company. The founders pitched Rs 60 lakhs for a 1% equity stake, and after an intense round of negotiations, they struck a deal with Aman Gupta and Vineeta Singh for Rs 96 lakhs in exchange for 4% equity. This milestone for Airth has reportedly led to a significant increase in brand awareness. “Since our episode aired, more people know about Airth and our mission than we could have achieved in 1.5 years,” Ravi Kaushik, co-founder, Airth, told BrandWagon Online.

Airth has seen significant growth in its revenue over the past two years. In FY24, the company’s revenue surged to Rs 2.13 crore, a substantial increase from Rs 63.17 lakh in FY23. However, the company continues to face financial challenges, with its net loss widening from Rs 64,500 in FY23 to Rs 43.13 lakh in FY24, indicating the ongoing struggles in scaling the business, according to filings accessed from Tofler.

“When you’re surrounded by air conditioners, why not use them to clean the air too? Most people don’t use air purifiers consistently, yet they are always surrounded by ACs. Why not upgrade them to do the job better?” Kaushik added. From what is understood, Airth’s innovation lies in its ability to upgrade existing air conditioning filters, which are often underused and inefficient. With Airth’s product, consumers can breathe cleaner air for 8-12 months, with products lying in the range of Rs 1549 to Rs 3200.
